Mamelani mourns the death of Kadar Asmal. He gave his life to the struggle against oppression and was a true advocate for human rights and social justice for all.
He has always spoken out against violations of human rights and unashamedly stood by his values.
He was present at Mamelani's opening ceremony in 2005 and has been an inspiration for our work since the very beginning. We send our condolences to Asmal's family and friends at this difficult time.
