Partners

Mamelani works in partnership with a number of organisations, each who offer different services. This enables us to cover a broad range of our clients’ needs, from counselling to income generation, job placement and stress management. By offering our services to other organisations in return for their support for our clients, both organisations are able to access services they would otherwise need to pay for in a way that supports both organisations without depleting financial resources.

We have partnered with the following organisations:

For emotional support services:

  • Mosaic, an organisation that offers counseling services and legal support for women who are victims of sexual violence.
  • FAMSA, Lifeline and Child Welfare for emotional support and interventions relating to familiy conflicts.
  • Capacitor, for trauma healing workshops .
  • Aids Training and Information Centre (ATICC) who we refer clients to for Voluntary Counselling and Testing.

For training in food gardenening skills:

  • Soil For Life, who focus on developing home food gardens.

For income generation:

  • Men on the Side of the Road, for skills training and job opportunities
  • Monkey Biz, for skills training and job opportunities in the field of beadwork .

For HIV/AIDS services:

Yabonga and St Lukes are both organisations that we have partnered with in the field of HIV/AIDS care and support to ensure that services are not duplicated and that we work together towards common objectives.

In the Eastern Cape we work closely with Nompesigaji Community Developers and Transcape NPO in rolling out our Wellness Programme.

Mamelani believes not only in building the capacity of those we serve, but also of the organization from within. We have partnered with Development Works (specialists who support organisations in the developmental sector); Frank Julie and Associates (Development Consultants); NACOSA (an umbrella organization developing NGOs working in the field of HIV/AIDS) and The Resource and Development Foundation (an umbrella organization linking NGOs) for staff mentoring and support, as well as strategic development.

Mamelani has partnered with the People’s Health Movement in its fight for the Right to Health Campaign.
